April Showers

I woke up this morning to what looked like a dark and dreary rainy day.  The kind of day you just want to stay curled up in a comfy chair reading a good book.  Even the dog didn’t want to get out of bed and she really didn’t want to go out in the rain to do her business.  But I had a list of chores that I had to do and errands to run. I decided to take my camera with me. After all, part of  the impetus behind this blog was to be more creative and experience my world in a different way.  I’ve noticed that taking my camera helps me be more aware of my surroundings, gaze more appreciatively and with more interest.

I recognized that even on a dark and dreary day, there is beauty and mystery surrounding us.
