Weekly Photo Challenge: Escape

Costa Rica Escape A perfect spot for an escape.  We were on a small boat lazily moving along the estuary outside of Tamarindo, Costa Rica, when I spotted this man sitting quietly among the mangroves.  I was captivated and wonder about his story each time I look at this photo.

  1. Maybe he was a professional boat counter, paid to sit on the mangrove all day and count the boats. He would then have to report his countings to the CRBCO: Costa Rica Boat Counting Office, which would produce yearly reports on the amount and types of boats that go by over the course of the year…
I like how this untold story can really be anything 🙂

  4. On my first look at this photo I thought you had brilliantly captured him in a mangrove ‘prison’. He looks as though he has been placed behind wooden bars, and I love it! His enchanting smile tells me he already has his escape planned out. 🙂
