1. I’m an Aries – a great sign although some would suggest that people under this sign are controlling. I would suggest that we are just always right 🙂 !
2. I live with My One and Only (MOO). We have been together for over 20 years and it’s still good. She inspires, encourages and motivates me.
3. I have the cutest dog in the world. Her name is Abbey and she is almost 12 14 years old.
4. I want to be one of those runners who makes running look effortless. Instead I huff and puff to complete a 5 km run (when I can get motivated). Thank you Apple for the iPod which makes running tolerable especially with a great play list (Glee) or audio book. 2013 Update: I’m still trying to be one of those runners – still not really happening.
5. I love traveling (anywhere) and exploring the world and its people. My favourite sun destination (currently) is Costa Rica. My bucket list includes visiting all the continents at least once – three down, four to go.
6. I love food and love to cook, but mostly I love food. I don’t really bake but did I mention I love food. I think that dark chocolate should be a required food group.
7. I have given up caffeine (except for chocolate) but I love my non-fat, decaf latte from Starbucks. Does decaf count as caffeine? 2013 Update: After visiting a coffee plantation in Costa Rica I have started drinking coffee with caffeine. Now my coffee of choice is a non-fat latte (preferably with a shot of peppermint or mocha).
8. Reading is my passion, my escape, my spa day… mysteries are my favourite genre. My library card and my Kobo are prized possessions.
9. Starting a blog scares, intrigues and challenges me….. 2013 Update: I have gotten over my fear but am no less intrigued and challenged and loving the blogging community.
10. This blog is an opportunity to write and explore my creative side – mostly through photography.
Drop me a line if you get a chance – it thrills me to pieces and gives me a chance to explore new blogs.
If I had known that Costa Rica was your favourite destination….
And I agree that dark chocolate should be a required food group!
Love your blog photo too!
Abbey’s gorgeous. Is Africa one of the three or the four?
Its funny. I was a cat person until Abbey and now I am totally in love with this dog. Africa is a continent that I still have to visit. It is so vast and there are so many countries to explore that I’m sure it will take many trips. Hopefully I can visit soon – fingers crossed.
Just stumbled across your blog and love what you’ve written so far. As your newest follower, I’m looking forward to what you will write next 🙂
Thank you so much for your kind words and the follow. By the way – love your name…
Beautiful 10 things about you. I am an Aries too. As for caffeine, I haven’t have the courage to give it up yet plus I worked night shift. Wonderful blog. Follow your passion always!
It would be hard to work night shifts without caffeine. Chocolate might help – it has caffeine – haha. Thank you for your kind words.
I like the “Shades of Green” post the most! Great stuff!
Thanks – it was fun to do.
Really nice photos here , like the sunset and the night photos !
Thank you for your kind words.

I’ve really enjoyed your blog, and I’d like to nominate it for the Liebster Award! I tried to make sure that you hadn’t already received this, but if I missed that, I apologize. I really hope you choose to accept it, and if you do, I can’t wait to read your answers to the questions. You can find out the details here: http://lifeandloveliness.wordpress.com/2014/01/12/liebster-award/. Best wishes, and I hope you have a lovely day! -Tessa
Hi Tessa
Thank you so much for the nomination. I am always humbled when someone takes the time to browse my blog and appreciates some of the content. I am happy to accept the nomination although it may take me some time to respond to the questions and identify my own nominations (my posts have tended to be infrequent lately). I find one of the rewards of having a blog is discovering other bloggers – I have enjoyed looking around your blog and look forward to reading more of your lovely words.
Ciao for now,
Anna Marie
